Where will the conference take place?
The SDS2026 conference day (6 May 2026) will be held at the Circle Convention Center, located at Zurich Airport, Switzerland. Venue, travel, and hotel information can be found here. The SDS workshop day (7 May 2026) will take place at the same venue.
What is the official language of the conference?
The workshops and the conference will be held in English.
Will the conference have internet access available?
Free Wi-Fi will be available throughout the venue.

Where will the workshops take place?
The SDS2026 workshops will take place at the Circle Convention Center, Zurich Airport.

How can I participate as a speaker?

Can speakers talk from remote locations at the conference?
No, all speakers are required to attend the conference in person.
Is it possible to switch the track between the presentations?
You can change tracks between sessions at any point during the presentation. However, please keep in mind that it will take a few minutes to walk from one room to another. There will be a time slot between each presentation for a possible room change.
What do you need to consider as a poster speaker?
Please bring a printed version of your poster to conference. The poster boards have dimensions of 1.5m width × 1.2m height. All material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the registration desk. We recommend producing a poster in A0 size.

Do you offer financial support to attend the conference?
No, as a non-profit conference, we cannot offer financial support to attendees. However, we are offering reduced-price tickets for students and data innovation alliance members.
When will registration open and how much are the participation fees?
Registration and tickets will be available starting in November 2025.
What is a “Flex budget for Industrial members” ticket and why is it free?
This is a special ticket available exclusively for members of the data innovation alliance.
How do I get an invoice for the ticket I purchased?
You will receive a purchasing confirmation and receipt via email directly after registration.
How can I get an invitation letter for my visa?
Please send us an email at conference@data-innovation.org after registering for the conference. We will send you a form to be filled in to issue you a visa invitation letter.
I am unable to travel to Zurich, Switzerland. Can I participate in the conference online?
No, we regret to inform you that online participation is not possible.
Please note that only papers for which at least one author registers and attends the conference in person will be included in the SDS2026 IEEE proceedings. Failure to present the paper in person will result in removal from the publication.

Cancellation
What is the registration cancellation process and policy?
While tickets are non-refundable, they are transferable to a colleague. If you would like to proceed with a transfer, kindly send an email to conference@data-innovation.org, providing your colleague’s name and email address. We will then prepare a name badge accordingly.
