Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 20 October 2025
By accessing or using the sds2026.ch website (operated by the Data Innovation Alliance), or by registering for any events, courses, or memberships through this site, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the site or its services.
1. User Obligations
As a user of our website, you agree to conduct yourself responsibly and adhere to all applicable laws and these Terms. You must not misuse the site or its services. In particular, you agree to:
Provide accurate information: Ensure that any personal details or data you provide (during account creation, event registration, etc.) are truthful and up-to-date.
Use the site lawfully: Refrain from posting unlawful, harmful, or offensive content and do not engage in any fraudulent or malicious activities.
Respect others and our services: Do not harass other users, interfere with the website’s normal functioning, or attempt to bypass any security measures.
Abide by event/course rules: When attending events or courses, you must follow any code of conduct or safety guidelines provided by the organizers.
Failure to meet these obligations may result in suspension or termination of your access to the site and its services.
2. Account Creation and Security
Certain features (such as purchasing tickets, signing up for membership, or registering for courses) require creating a user account. Account registration is open only to individuals 18 years or older (or minors with parental consent). When creating an account, you agree to:
Provide accurate and current information.
Maintain only one account in your name.
Keep your password confidential and secure.
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or are suspected of misuse. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us; however, no refunds will be issued for any paid services or memberships.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on sds2026.ch, including text, graphics, images, videos, and software, is the intellectual property of the Data Innovation Alliance or its partners and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without written permission. Any unauthorized use may result in termination of your account and potential legal action.
If you submit content (such as feedback or comments), you grant the Data Innovation Alliance a royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for operational and promotional purposes, provided that such use does not violate your privacy or moral rights.
4. Pricing and Payment Terms
Pricing Transparency: All prices for event tickets, course registrations, membership fees, or other services on sds2026.ch are displayed in Swiss Francs (CHF). Prices include any mandatory taxes and fees such as VAT. There are no hidden surcharges. Optional add-ons, if any, are presented clearly and require your explicit consent.
Secure Payment Processing: All payments are handled via Stripe, a certified third-party payment processor. Payment details are processed securely and are not stored on our servers. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s terms for payment processing.
Payment Authorization: By confirming a transaction, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable amount. You will receive an electronic order confirmation immediately after payment.
VAT and Receipts: Prices include VAT where applicable. Receipts or invoices are available upon request. All transactions are processed in CHF.
5. Digital Delivery of Tickets and Services
All products and services are digitally delivered. No physical goods are shipped. Once payment is confirmed:
Event Tickets: Delivered electronically via email as a digital file or QR code.
Courses: Enrollment confirmation and access details are sent by email.
Memberships: Confirmation and member benefits are activated immediately upon payment.
Digital delivery typically occurs within minutes after purchase. If you do not receive your ticket or confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us.
6. No Refunds / Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. Because our offerings include event tickets for fixed dates, memberships, and digital educational services, we do not provide refunds or cancellations after purchase.
Under Swiss law, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for such purchases. Likewise, under EU law, tickets for events on a specific date and digital services that begin immediately upon consent are exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right.
If an event is canceled by us, or a course is not delivered as promised, we will comply with applicable laws and offer remedies such as a rescheduled date or refund. However, cancellations due to personal reasons are not eligible for a refund.
7. Limitation of Liability
Use of the website and its services is at your own risk. The Data Innovation Alliance provides the site “as is” and “as available.”
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service.
We are not responsible for third-party services such as Stripe or event platforms. Any issues arising from those providers should be addressed directly with them.
8. Termination and Suspension
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, misuse our services, or engage in fraudulent activity. You will be notified where possible.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to refunds. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of Switzerland. Jurisdiction for any dispute lies with the competent courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
If you are a consumer based in the EU, you may also bring claims before the courts of your place of residence, in accordance with mandatory consumer protection laws.
